About us...

Looking for Advice is a Non-Profit Organization that has been up and running for 8 years on the Internet at no charge to any teen or young adult who comes seeking help for any kind of question, problem or life crisis. It is a 'Safe Place' for young people to know they can come. Here at Looking for Advice my purpose is to guide, teach, counsel and refer the young people from around the world to be totally equipped with the Life Skills they need now and in the future for whatever challenges them so they can grow into adulthood well adjusted, self sufficient, self confident, healthy, happy and successful. I use my own self-developed Technique called Life-Rules. You can read about what Life-Rules can do for you by finding the link in the table of contents. It has stood the test of time and throughout the 8 years on the Internet young people have come seeking help through my reputation and long standing on the Internet as a professionally run safe, reputable, caring and professionally guided site for Behavioral Health issues for teens and young adults.

My greatest recommendations are the kids. So please take a moment and visit the Testimonial page. I have changed the names and any information that would identify the person but the words are quotes written by the kids. These are just a few of the hundreds of letters I get back from kids, and parents as I encourage kids to involve their parents if possible or later when they have learned the skills they need to work through their challenges. Some kids I have had for the whole time my site has been up. I have seen them through their teens and into their 20's. They come back when ever they meet up with a challenge that they would like feedback from someone they know will give them what they need to work through their situation. To me this is the greatest reward that my Technique works.

My goal as a Professional was to become educated and incorporate the Bio-psycho-social-spiritual of each and every individual with the philosophy that you cannot separate a person into parts. My mindset is that each and every being is a unique and evolving individual. You can read about my degrees, credentials and 20 years of experience in a wide variety of all facets of Behavioral and Medical Health on the About MaryAnne page. I do not diagnose or treat. I teach, counsel, guide and refer as needed. I practice under my Licenses as a Nurse and as an Ordained Minister. I also hold a Master's Degree in Social Work.

We Need Your Support, Advertising and Donations
These Kids are the Future Help me Help them. One of them may be your Teen or Young Adult.

We accept and need donations from everyone. We need everyone to care and support this site so that our children have a safe, confidential and Professionally run legal organization that is built around the philosophy that no young person should have to go it alone. Young people should have a place at their finger tips that they can turn to without fail. They need to know this site will be here tomorrow for them. Where they are assured to find safety, confidential guidance, crisis intervention run by professionals who care and are licensed and have the professional skills to meet the needs of a wide variety of challenges and life crises that are facing the kids and young adults of the New Millennium. These are our kids our future and the future of this world. They need to know they are never alone, things are never hopeless and there is a place they can come for free no matter what their economic situation is.
