Finding Ourselves

We all have hang-ups, guilt and doubts about ourselves and how we are living our lives. Finding Ourselves is where I want to help you see inside yourself. Each time I will pick a topic that I see that many of you are asking about, doing or don't understand. I want to teach you why this behavior is happening, what brings it on, what is behind the behavior and how you might find positive ways to handle your lack of control, your frustration, pain and confusion.

Remember your 'behaviors' are 'symptoms' not causes. I want you to remember no matter what you are doing, have done or are thinking of doing it is not your 'fault', because you learned how to react. This is not 'you'. But now you are growing up and you are responsible for all of your actions and the consequences they bring. And you will, no matter what you think, pay for your actions one way or another. Learn how to make your consequences work for you so you can be and get what you want. You can have so much power over your life it is amazing; the difference in a winner and a loser is how you see and act on your behavior.

Our Spiritual Selves

Our spiritual selves; this is a very sensitive subject, but I feel very passionate about what ever is missing in our lives is directly related to our lack of growth and commitment in this area of our lives. It is at the core of any and everything that we are looking for. Without our cultivating this vital part of who we are we will stay lost. If we just follow principles i.e. religions on Sunday, that are taught to us by "society" yet we dont really believe in them with our whole being then they are just another way we are being a victim to something outside of ourselves again. If our world starts and stops with us, no matter what we do or what we believe we will never find peace or lasting love. No matter how much money we have or status we attain. Without an inner guide force and our following the laws of nature that apply to our spiritual selves, another of the "life process" laws comes into play, we will not be able to sustain inner peace and happiness no matter what we have on the outside of our being.
You have heard the saying "All men lead quit lives of desperation." I believe that no matter what someone "shows" to the world, without an inner guide force - something that is greater than we are - we are lost.
It doesnt matter how you find your way to your spirit or what belief system you have. We all have the freedom of choice to find our own way to our inner spiritual self.If we follow the natural laws of life in this area of our lives we really cant go wrong, because the bottom line to everything is "Unconditional Love." When we practice unconditional love it takes care of most of the unhealthy, lost and egocentric parts of people. We all want unconditional love but we have a hard time giving unconditional love.If you pull away from our man made world of buildings, airports, dinner theaters, big million dollar homes and go to the wide open spaces of nature back to what is "real" we spend very little time on developing and growing as a person or a spiritual being. We spend most of our time on getting and attaining the man made parts of our lives that are temporary, can be taken away, and will be left behind when we die. Yet what we are and where we house our spirits we leave so little time and energy for or ignore all together.
Think about how you spend your time. Remember whatever you spend the majority of your time on is what you desire the most. Is it your being, is it that which you are, that which you share with life or that which you take with you when you die?
A great saying to remember:

Look for the soul you become soul,

Hunt for bread you become bread,

Whatever you look for, you are.
